Expatriate Medical & Personal Accident Cover for Any Nationality Working & Living Abroad

Our Way Travel are specialists in Travel Medical Insurance and have put together this superb policy for all nationalities working or living away from home.

Medical cover is essential whilst abroad and Our Way provide up to £500,000 medical expenses during any policy period dependant on the cover plan you select.

An Emergency Service is providing by "CEGA International Assistance" who are available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. This service will provide you with advise on all aspects of emergency medical assistance and arrange payment direct with the hospital or clinic. This service will also arrange repatriation to the insured’s home country if necessary.

Additionally Our way Expatriate Policy provides up to £50,000 in the event of death, permanent total disablement, or loss of eyes or limbs due to an accident whilst abroad.

In addition to the certificate of insurance, a special emergency identification card is provided for each Insured to be carried in case of such an emergency.

No medical examinations are required, just completion of our proposal form and payment of the appropriate premium.

This policy is underwritten by certain syndicate’s at Lloyd’s.

Medical Cover:

Cover is provided for accident or sickness in respect of:

Excess £50 each and every claim in respect of medical claims, for persons aged under 65 years. For persons aged 65 years and over the excess will be £100.

CEGA EMERGENCY 24HR SERVICE - This section also includes the services of CEGA Assistance who will provide immediate help in the event of a Person Insured’s illness or injury arising outside the United Kingdom. They provide a 24-hour multi-lingual emergency service 365 days a year. Including repatriation arrangements where necessary.

 

Personal accident: £50,000

Financial security for the Insured and his family is provided by means of a cash benefit to ease the financial hardship to the Insured’s dependants in the event of an accident causing death, total disability or the loss of limbs or loss of sight.

Cover starts from commencement date of policy therefore no refunds can be made if this policy is cancelled.

Insurance Premium Tax: If you currently reside in the United Kingdom at the time of taking this Insurance out then the above premiums will be subject to Insurance Premium Tax at the current rate of 17.5%.

Who is eligible?

Anyone under the age of 65 but over 12 months old provided they are in good health and free from physical defects or infirmity, the appropriate premium has been paid, and who is not excluded by virtue of their occupation being unacceptable to the Insurers.

Family cover includes spouse and all children over 12 months old and under 18 years. extended to 24 years if in full time education.

A person’s age will be taken as that at the commencement of the policy.

Please contact us for premiums for shorter periods, manual work, hazardous sports exposure and persons aged between 65 and 70 years of age. If you participate in any sport which Insurers might deem hazardous you should declare it immediately.

Group rates

The World-wide Expatriate Insurance is available for an Expatriate residing anywhere in the world (providing the appropriate premium has been paid).

Summary of main exclusions

This proposal should be read in conjunction with the full certificate wording.

1. Routine medical examinations or treatment including vaccinations, inoculations, medical certificates and the like. Routine dental, eye and ear examinations, or the cost of spectacles, contact lenses, hearing aids, false teeth, or dental appliances.

2. Treatment of children under 10 years of age for normal childish ailments i.e.: chicken pox and the like.

3. Cosmetic surgery.

4. The first £50 of each and every claim, in respect of medical claims, for persons aged under 65 years.

5. Any operation or treatment in respect of a condition already diagnosed at the inception of cover.

6. Pregnancy and childbirth costs.

7. Bodily injury sustained whilst engaged in hazardous pursuits.

8. Bodily injury sustained whilst under the influence of or disablement due to wholly or partly to the effects of intoxicating liquids or drugs.

9. Suicide or any wilfully self inflicted injury or illness or venereal disease of AIDS related illness.

10. Any physical defect infirmity medical condition or chronic or recurring illness which existed at, or prior to the date of entry of Insured Persons to the Insurance, provided that this exclusion shall not apply to those conditions confirmed by a registered Medical Practitioner as cured six months prior to the entry of the Proposer into the scheme or as specially agreed and accepted by the Insurer.

11. All costs arising from trips specially made for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment if not part of an Emergency Medical Transportation.

12. Services or treatment at any long term care facility, spa, hydro clinic or sanatorium, that is not a hospital.

13. War, Civil War, Riots and Civil commotion's.
